In order to create a faster and more efficient airport experience for our Guests, most Spirit airport locations no longer accept cash, traveler’s checks, certified (cashier’s) checks, or money orders as a form of payment.
NOTE: Spirit will NOT accept cash, traveler’s checks or money orders in the gate area at any of our airport locations, both domestically and internationally.

NOTE: We strongly encourage Guests who use a prepaid debit/gift card to refrain from throwing away their card (even if the card is empty) until their travel is complete. In the event the Guests travel is interrupted, any applicable refund can only be issued to the prepaid debit/gift card. Most airports have cash conversion kiosks available for Guests to convert cash into a prepaid debit card for a $5* charge at domestic locations and a $6* charge at international locations. Any charges associated with the use of a cash conversion machine are collected by the company that owns and operates the machine.
